Result and Merit Rules
- Merit based on scores obtained in the written examination. Physical test was merely qualifying.
- UP Police Recruitment Board did not prepare any waiting list.
- The UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has stated that if two or more candidates score the same marks, preference will go to candidates who have an NCC B certificate, DOEAC O-level certificate, or two years of experience in the Territorial Army. If candidates with equal marks don’t have any of these, then authorities will rank the older candidate higher in merit.
- If two or more candidates still have equal marks, the board will consider the spelling of the candidate’s name (as per 10th certificate). Candidates whose names appear first in alphabetical order will rank higher in merit.
