Eligibility Criteria for NTPC Recruitment 2025

For Graduate Trainee:

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a full-time Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with minimum 65% marks (55% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) from a recognized University/Institute in the relevant discipline.
• Age Limit: Maximum 27 years as of 25 April 2025 (Age relaxation as per government norms).

For Diploma Trainee:

• Educational Qualification: Candidates must have a full-time Diploma in Engineering with minimum 70% marks (60% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates) from a recognized Board/University in the relevant discipline.
• Age Limit: Maximum 25 years as of 25 April 2025 (Age relaxation as per government norms).

3. Register by creating a new account if you are a new user or login if already registered
4. Fill in all the required details in the application form
5. Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and relevant documents as per specifications
6. Pay the application fee online via Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/UPI
7. Submit the application form and note down the registration number for future reference
8. Take a printout of the completed application form

NTPC Recruitment 2025 Selection Process

The selection process for NTPC Graduate and Diploma Trainee recruitment consists of the following stages:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)

• The CBT will be conducted in multiple cities across India.
• It will consist of two sections: Technical Knowledge and Aptitude Test.
• The Technical Knowledge section will have questions related to the respective discipline.
• The Aptitude Test will include questions on Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness.
• The examination will be of 2-3 hours duration.
• There will be negative marking for wrong answers.

2. Document Verification

• Candidates shortlisted based on CBT performance will be called for Document Verification.
• Original documents related to educational qualifications, age proof, category certificate, etc., will be verified.

3. Interview/Group Discussion (for Graduate Trainees only)

• Graduate Trainee candidates who clear the Document Verification will be called for Interview/Group Discussion.
• The Interview/GD will assess candidates’ technical knowledge, communication skills, and overall personality.

4. Medical Examination

• Final selected candidates will have to undergo a Pre-Employment Medical Examination.
• Appointment is subject to being found medically fit as per NTPC’s medical standards.

Candidates will need to upload scanned copies of the following documents during the online application process:

• Photograph: Recent passport-sized colored photograph with a white background (Size: 50KB maximum, Format: JPG/JPEG)

NTPC Trainee Program Details

Graduate Trainee Program:

• Selected candidates will undergo a training program of 12 months.
• The training will include both classroom sessions and on-the-job training at various NTPC plants/offices.
• After successful completion of training, candidates will be absorbed as executives in the respective disciplines.

Diploma Trainee Program:

• Selected candidates will undergo a training program of 12 months.
• The training will include both classroom sessions and on-the-job training at various NTPC plants/offices.
• After successful completion of training, candidates will be absorbed as supervisors in the respective disciplines.

1. Candidates are advised to apply well in advance without waiting for the last date of application submission.
