Eligibility Criteria for Army TGC 142

Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have passed BE/B.Tech in the relevant engineering discipline from a recognized university/institute
  • Candidates in the final year of engineering degree course are also eligible to apply provided they complete all their examinations and produce the final degree completion certificate before 01 January 2026

Nationality

A candidate must either be:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, or
  • A subject of Bhutan, or
  • A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

Marital Status

Candidates must be unmarried. Candidates who marry during the training period will not be allowed to continue and will be discharged.

Candidates must be physically fit according to the prescribed physical standards of the Indian Army:

Selection Process for Army TGC 142
