SSC CGL 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or equivalent.

  • For Statistical Investigator Grade-II and Compiler posts, a candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects or a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics.

  • The paper will comprise writing essays, precis, letter, application, etc.
  • The duration of the exam is 60 minutes (80 minutes for PwD candidates).
  • This paper is of qualifying nature.

Tier-IV: Computer Proficiency Test/Data Entry Skill Test

This stage consists of the following tests, depending on the post applied for:

  • DEST (Data Entry Skill Test): For Tax Assistant posts
    • The test is qualifying in nature.
    • Candidates will be required to enter data at the rate of 8,000 key depressions per hour.
    • The duration of the test is 15 minutes.
  • CPT (Computer Proficiency Test): For Assistant Section Officer in CSS, MEA, etc.
    • The test is qualifying in nature.
