Q1. How is the GATE score calculated?

A1. The GATE score is calculated using the formula:
GATE Score = σ × (M – Mq) ÷ (Mt – Mq) + μ

  • Mq is the qualifying marks for general category candidates in the paper
  • Mt is the mean of marks of top 0.1% of candidates in the paper
